Go green with our Earth Day contest!

After a week full of “flipped classroom” discussion, I’m proud to announce our latest contest, which provides the perfect opportunity for extending learning outside your classroom walls!

Glogster EDU and the Go Green Initiative are challenging you and your students to take a good hard look at the water, energy, and food systems in your community. Where do your food, water, and energy come from? How does it make its way to your door? And what can you do to make those systems more sustainable?

We’re giving away almost $10,000 worth of prizes to individual students, classrooms, and schools, including water bottles, T-shirts, DVD’s, an organic garden, a ride on a stagecoach….seriously! These prizes are incredible.

The contest runs now through Earth Day, April 22, 2012. Click here for all the info .

Austin, Texas and TCEA = Fun. Traveling to Austin, Texas = Not so fun.

The weather in Austin was not as good as it was a couple weeks ago when I was in Orlando for FETC, but it sure was better than Boston! Having said that, being able to walk around without a jacket was pretty awesome.

I attended a few workshops when I was down there, and I even had the chance to take a few of our Glogster EDU Ambassadors out to dinner one night. We went to Iron Works BBQ, and it was a fun night out! I can’t forget to mention that booth 1657 was rocking all week long too. Thanks to all who stopped by and supported us.

We gave away 11 Teacher Premium Licenses and 1 School License at TCEA.

Going to METC?

The Midwest Education Technology Conference (METC) is next week from February 13 – 15 in St. Louis, MO.  Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to St. Louis, which is a bit disappointing because (among many other reasons, of course!)
